School/Center Overview

The Division of Finance is responsible for an array of centralized financial functions of the University. Our various departments are responsible for administrative services that support financial accounting and disbursement activities, research administration, external and internal investments, cash and debt management, risk management and student registration and financial aid. http://www.finance.upenn.edu/default.asp

Duties

Under the supervision of the Deputy Director, provides administrative services for the processing of financial aid and counseling services of Graduate and health professions students. Formulates financial aid award packages using established federal, state and/or university policies. Determines and approves financial aid eligibility using latest online technology and its responsible for complete accounts of financial aid records. Manages grad counseling staff.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years to 7 years of financial aid experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Working knowledge of the following financial aid systems preferred: Banner, COD, NSLDS and PHEAA. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects. Must possess excellent customer service, problem solving and communication skills. Experience in managing both federal and institutional methodology is a plus.
