Provides leadership, support, advocacy, services, and programs to enhance teaching and learning at the School of Veterinary Medicine. Act as primary administrator for Canvas, Poll Everywhere, LockDown Browser, Panopto, EValue, Qualtrics, and EMS Professional at Penn Vet. Support faculty, staff, and students in using educational technology products and online exams. Support the School’s Clinical Competency Outcomes Assessment Program using EValue. This position will deliver professional development programming and training for faculty, instructors, and veterinary students and promote exemplary teaching practices. Represent Penn Vet in Penn’s Courseware Advisory Group and other committees. . This is a school-wide position. Presence at both campuses (PHL and New Bolton Center) required on a weekly basis.
BA/BS and a minimum of three years of experience in supporting learning management systems (LMS), eLearning, and instructional technology products, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. Masters in Education or Instructional Technology preferred. Skills include the ability to thoroughly understand large amounts of complex data relative to the veterinary curriculum. The successful candidate will maintain and communicate teaching, learning, and scheduling components of the veterinary curriculum. Demonstrated professional experience with educational technology management, learning management systems administration (Moodle and/or Canvas) and survey instruments. Experience with Poll Everywhere, Respondus LockDown Browser, and Panopto preferred. Experience developing Articulate online training modules preferred. Experience with E*Value and EMS scheduling software preferred. Knowledge of educational pedagogy and adult education a plus. Ability to organize; prioritize and work efficiently under pressure and subject to changing priorities; proven experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and using judgment and initiative in problem resolution. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills; and Strategic and critical thinker. Able to work in cross-functional teams; Interpersonal and relationship management skills; ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently; Understanding of the higher education environments and its changing needs. Proficient with software and other relevant technology including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Software Suite.
