The Office of Audit, Compliance and Privacy functions in partnership with University and Penn Medicine management to anticipate and aggressively manage operational, financial, compliance, information technology and privacy risks; ensure the integrity of Penn’s systems of internal control; and ensure strong stewardship and management accountability at all levels. http://www.upenn.edu/oacp/

Duties

The Senior IT Audit Specialist is responsible for planning, performing, and supervising the performance of complex information technology, operational and compliance audits, management advisory services, and investigations focused on Penn Medicine. Manages project assignments, budgets, and timelines to ensure the timely and effective completion of assigned projects. Assists in the training and direction of staff auditors, with attention focused on the overall conduct of the audit, audit methodologies, evaluation of controls, data analysis, workpaper techniques, presentation of audit findings, and report writing. Interacts with all levels of management throughout the University and Health System.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting and Information Systems, Business Information Technology or a related field; advanced degree in Information Systems or a related field, preferred. 5 + years of experience in IT internal audit, IT operations or public or financial accounting (business advisory services or consulting experience). CISA, CISSP, CIA or related certification strongly preferred.
